Your VAT ID is automatically verified by the eVatR, the German VAT ID validation service.
We revalidate your information on a daily basis, to make sure all data is up to date.
Unfortunately, it can be rejected for several reasons.
The most common ones are:
1. eVatR Service Unavailable
The eVatR service is currently unavailable. Please wait until it is back online to add your VAT ID
2. VAT ID invalid
The VAT ID verification service informed us that the VAT ID is not valid. Please be aware that the information from your account and the information registered for your ID needs to match perfectly.
To check on the data that your VAT is registered with, you can use this page: Vies on-the-Web - European Commission (europa.eu)
Important: Your VAT ID must also be combinable with the SPOD VAT ID which you can find here. To check if your VAT ID will work with SPOD, you need to use this page: https://evatr.bff-online.de/eVatR/.
Here, you need to insert the SPOD VAT ID in the first field.
In the second field, enter the country your VAT ID is registered in.
In the third field, enter your VAT ID.
